On Sunday 16 November, Mounira Al Solh and Oasis One World Choir join forces once again, merging art and music in a captivating live performance.

The voices from A Night hour, as Long as Night finally come to life. For the work Al Solh created for the Artes Mundi 10 Prize in 2023, she collaborated with the Oasis One World Choir from Cardiff. On Sunday 16 November, they reunite to weave art and music together in an immersive performance.

From the museum’s iconic staircase hall, voices and rhythms fill the space, gradually guiding visitors through the building. The experience culminates at the installation A Night hour, as Long as Night, part of the acclaimed exhibition A land as big as her skin. Here, an impressive embroidered Bedouin tent stands surrounded by portraits and stories that sing of memory and imagination.

For this performance, Al Solh designed unique garments, which will not only be worn during the event but will also be available for purchase in the museum shop.

Oasis One World Choir
Founded in 2015, Oasis One World Choir is a musical project of the Oasis Centre in Cardiff. The choir brings together people who have sought refuge in the UK and members of the local community. Through music, song, and movement, it creates a safe and creative space where participants can express themselves, share stories, and simply be — regardless of background or language.

Registration required
Due to high demand, an additional performance has been added from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Register using the button for the performance you wish to attend; each form is valid only for that specific performance.
